The main success's of my preliminary task was the creativity of the piece of work the narrative was original, it involved a job interview were the employer knew the employee from the night before and both were very embarrassed and shocked. A success regarding the technical side of the task e.g the camera work and editing was the flashback the audience understood what it was due to the effects used which was black and white fade, the transition leading up to the flashback meant the audience also understood that the character was also experiencing the flashback as well. I also thought that the match on action shot was a success in my work, it was one of the key shots that was meant to be involved in our task.
There were less successful moments in my preliminary task in the technical aspect such as the type of camcorder i was using, i used a low quality camera which lead to less enjoyable production, we also re-used cut scenes such as the shot of the clock, which did not bring continuity.
When making my British social realism film, i focased on making an orignal narrative. I also made sure that i took many shots from different angles because in my premliminary task i had a lack of shots which led to me re-using cut scenes. I also wanted to make sure that the mise en scene of the production suited the scene, this was something i improved upon becasue in my premlinary task, locations and cutomes didnt match the scene that it was meant to be.
